Dr. Navaid Alam
MBBS, 1991


Dr. Alam has been a CCG education/training lead and is a member of NICE committee. He is the practice Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) and is responsible for staff, clinical and multidisciplinary education. He is also the designated Safeguarding Adults lead and the lead for the Mental Capacity Act. He works closely with clinicians in promoting good professional practice and ensuring safeguarding training is up-to-date. He has an interest in dermatology and performs minor surgery. He is also a trainer of 4th year medical students.
   
Dr. Ahmad Zia
MBBS, 1995


Dr. Zia is member of the senior management team and has been previously involved in reconfiguration/merger of practices. He is the undergraduate Medical Education Lead responsible for third and fourth year medical students. Dr. Zia is the identified Audit lead, HR lead and has used audits to improve clinical practice. Being the HR lead, he ensures that employees needs are balanced with demands of the employer. As an educator, he ensures that medical students not only familiarize themselves with the academic curriculum but also become versed with economics of the NHS. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe clinical practice. He has special interest in Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease, which he leads. He is also responsible for clinical and non-clinical staff education.
