TG Medical Centre has a diverse and active Patient Participation Group. The group consists of patients who have volunteered their time to help improve our services. If you would like to join the PPG then please enquire at reception for further information.
What is a PPG?
The first Patient Participation Group was set up by a GP in 1972 and many general practices in England now have a PPG. They are generally made up of a group of volunteer patients, the Practice Manager and one or more of the GPs from the practice. They meet on a regular basis to discuss the services on offer and how improvements can be made for the benefit of patients and the practice.
PPG Members
The current PPG consists of Graham Haywood, Jane Kennedy, Michael Lilley, Nichola Whitaker, Philip Mayne, Roger Street, Sue Taylor and Wendy Barker. The Practice Manager, Helen Jones, is also present in all meetings. We also have clinicians and members of the board attend the meeting. The members of our PPG come from a diverse range of backgrounds and professions and are the patient voice on how they want to see their services develop in the future.
Next PPG Meeting
The next PPG meeting will be in April (date TBC)
To obtain minutes of the previous meeting or for any other questions about the PPG, please do not hesitate to contact the Practice Manager (Helen Jones) via wiccg.tgmc@nhs.net
